About Coach Freddie
Developing Strong Minds. Elite Performers. Extraordinary Lives.
Freddie Glover Jr., known as Coach Freddie, is a collegiate track & field coach, mental performance coach, educator, entrepreneur, author, and mentor dedicated to helping athletes and individuals maximize their potential.
More Than a Coach
Two Decades. Countless Champions.
Coach Freddie has spent more than two decades developing athletes and young people at the high school and collegiate levels. His career includes helping develop conference champions, NCAA qualifiers, school-record holders, nationally ranked athletes, and All-Americans.
He currently serves as Associate Head Coach at Southern University A&M College and has previous collegiate coaching experience at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Before entering collegiate coaching, he helped build Northside High School into one of Louisiana's premier track and field programs, contributing to nine indoor and outdoor Louisiana State Championships.
"The greatest victories aren't measured only by medals, records, or championships. They're measured by the people athletes become."
— Coach Freddie
Coaching the Person Behind the Performance
Physical Talent Is Only the Beginning
Years of coaching showed Coach Freddie that physical talent alone does not determine success. Mental factors such as confidence, focus, discipline, emotional control, self-talk, resilience, preparation, and response to pressure often separate good performers from great performers.
This realization led Coach Freddie to earn a Master's Degree in Sports Psychology and combine sports psychology principles with decades of practical coaching experience.

My Mission
In Coach Freddie's Own Words
"My mission is to use everything I've learned through coaching, education, sports psychology, entrepreneurship, leadership, success, and adversity to help others discover what they're truly capable of. I've spent years helping athletes run faster, hurdle better, win championships, break records, and reach the NCAA stage. But I've learned that the greatest coaching happens when you help someone see something in themselves that they couldn't see before. That's what Coach Freddie Performance Institute is about."
